Hey Everyone,

I wanted to check in and get a count of who will be shooting what tomorrow at the range and to see if anyone will be testing anything out. If so, please post before and after with what firearm and we can all get something out of it.

I am going to test out some rounds I cranked out for Mosin Nagant with:
Brass: Lapua
Primer: CCI LR
Projo: Hornady 174gr FMJBT
Propellant: IMR 4064 42.4 gr 20 rounds (up 0.4 gr from last time - shot great)
IMR 4064 42.8 gr 20 rounds
IMR 4064 43.0 gr 20 rounds

* I want to start a complete ladder with IMR-4350 next so if anyone has tried it, please let me have your opinion.

I am also gonna try some Precision "Black Bullets" backed with Titegroup, Power pistol, Clays, N320 and Bullseye on one of my High cap 1911's. I made a box (50 rounds) of each powder/wt of the following:

Brass: Remington
Primer: CCI
Projo: Precision 230gr RNF
Propellant: Bullseye 5.2 gr
TiteGroup 5.0 gr
Power Pistol 6.0 gr
Clays 4.1 gr

and

Brass: Remington
Primer: CCI
Projo: Precision 200 gr RNF
Propellant: V-N320 4.8 gr
V-N320 5.0 gr
V-N320 5.2 gr

* * * I hope I come back with at least 350 pcs of 45acp brass after this.

Other than that, Probably shoot a **** load of 223 through one of my black guns with my standard plink/target load of Varget backed 55 gr FMJ-BT.

Anyone else??

Have fun at the range everyone.

ME!!!!!!

I am heading out to shoot the TL-45-230-2og bullets I just cast.

Bullet - BBB (BILLS BUDGET BULLETS - So named by my wife)
Case - CCI - reload #4 on these
Primer - WLP
Powder - HP 38 4.4gr to 5.2gr in .2 increments
COL - 1.26"

This is the part I really like!

Well, not testing, just some competition. IPSC tomorrow, 600 yard fun shoot on Sunday. IPSC will be with my Springfield armory using lee 200 RF boolits form a 6 cavity mold, backed by 5.5 gr. WW231.

The 600 yd. shoot will be my bushmaster AR using 69 grain Nosler match bullets with 25.0 varget. It's not a formal match. Any rifle any rest or position. Just a chance to come out to push a bullet a long way out.

You guys have fun.

Hey Griz, you made some purdy boolits and I am sure they will shoot as good as they look. Let us know how it turns out, Mate

I'm on my way out. I shoot at a few places around L.A. and as it turns out, I am headed to Angeles Shooting range ( http://www.angelesranges.com/ )where you can shoot steel plate all the way out to 600. Talk to you later, times a wasting.

Cheers....

Going sunday. and im headed to angeles ranges. going to be shooting on the handgun side. bringing an assortment. my 30-30. all the way to the right. To test some new loads. my 50 Cal cva same thing just finished casting some bullets going to be trying out. then on the handgun area. I got a conversion cylinder for my WALKER. so i am loading up some. Old Style. 45 Long Colt. using 200 grain round nose lead. with a full case of triple 777 fff.

Scrat, I know the area. that goes out to 100 yds, right? Cool... I like that side. I usually sight in my rifles on the other side of the office (and Hotdog stand) on the rifle range. I usually have a hot dog with my son there as well.
After shooting, I make it a ritual to stop by the 711 at the bottom of the hill for a drink home and maybe a snack. That drive back home to Long Beach kinda sucks, though.

Well, It's 8:30 and I have to leave. I'm late!!! Talk to you soon

Cheers...
