Davandron:
1) Many gun enthusiasts seem to have never seriously considered that the Democratik Party might actually return to the White House and take the House/Senate, despite problems such as the economy and mortgages.
and:
2) The election month was classified.
We don't wait until the fuel gauge needle gets to "E" before using clever initiative to head straight towards a gas station, but with guns/ politics this seems to be the case, based on newspaper articles.
So many people wait until the 'political gauge' is below empty. It still baffles me. Some of us bought a few rifles last spring/summer and a bit of ammo which is used in popular semi-auto rifles. A guy met me behind a McDonald's last March and sold me an unfired SKS for $200.

It doesn't help that all the Yugo surplus has already come in. There was a limited amount to import and while there were a few hundred thousand carbines around the price was much cheaper than today.

The only real way you will see SKS prices going down is to remove the Chinese ban and the domestic gun manufacturers will fight that with tooth and claw as Chinese firearms would decimate their orders.

I've managed to stockpile 3000 rounds of Wolf 7.62x39, I've got the FMJ's, HP'
s, and 154 gr soft points. Two years ago I loaded up on this stuff at $175/case. Now its close to $300/case. No regrets there!:D

If Alaska's Palin get the white house, theres a chance she will repel the Clinton Ban and tell the anti, its time to let Chinese arms and ammo back again bec we want cheap stuff.
