Tucson, Cox Cable, 2100, CSI: Miami.

Caine: "5.7 by 28 mm." (While holding up what was obviously NOT an AP round, good close-up.)

Detective: "Yeah, that's a monster caliber. Can penetrate up to 48 layers of Kevlar."

Bwaaaaaa hahahahahahahahaha! :eek::D:confused::banghead:

Callie: "That has significant wounding potential."

Thank God at least she's hot.

Was it a blue-tip round? I carry that stuff every day in my FNH USG 5.7 pistol. :)

One of my favs was from "la femme nikita" they replaced 50 cal with 50 mm...

I'm trying very hard to remember when I've heard any good gun dialog which even remotely seemed knowledgeable. And I just can't come up with any!

:D

Track down the "Jesse Stone" movies (Made for TV, Tom Selleck starring).

Mr. Selleck demonstrates OUTSTANDING behavior, talk and moves.
(The bad guys in "Cold Stone" don't, but what the hey.)

They absolute worst I ever saw was an old episode of Ironside, he's holding a 1911 IN HIS HAND & calling it a revolver.

That and every copshow that makes refference to the gun being "registered" .

My all time favorite was when living in Miami, FL years ago, and the lady news anchor identified a gun as a "three hundred fifty seven" caliber handgun...I don't think I would want to shoot that one...

Single factory loaded .700 Nitro cartridges are available, typically at $100 each, although they have been sold on the internet for as little as $50.

Darn, I'd have to buy a set of dies for my Prairie Rat hunting.

AFAIK, I never commented on TV stuff, choosing to crack a faint bemused smile when I spot a boo-boo. Sorta like when a child spills his/her milk.

Makes you wonder how accurate they are on the rest of the CSI stuff.

I would guess it has a fact-to-fiction ratio of 3:7. And that's giving the TV shows the benefit of the doubt.

In real life, investigators spend a good deal of their time on the scene wondering where the coffee is. :D

(It's just a joke, guys! :uhoh: )

I like Law and Order Criminal Intent, but one episode had me shaking my head.
The coroner extracted a bullet from a body and said it was a "baloon-head" type of bullet, and that it wasn't widely used anymore. They later determined the weapon used was an "M-11". The weapon is later recovered, and is not either a Sig P228, or a M-11/9, but a 1911.
