Where did the term 'military moron' come from? Well, my cousin Fi refers to her husband Allan and I as 'military morons'. He had been in the British military (RAF Regiment 3 Sqn) and explained that if you talk about military stuff all the time even when you're at work (in the military), you're called a 'military moron'. Since that visit, her husband and I refer to each other as MMs. I thought it was a funny term, so it stuck.

I did the whole Viet Nam tiger stripe camo fetish phase until I got arrested at 17 for ADW (I was framed, I swear). Then I went and did it for real (USMC). But I can understand why they'd want to emulate me.

Tattoos?!? Man, that's like, scary, dude! That's just going too far...

Seriously, I'm a civilian. Never done LEO. Never been in the military. Just a guy. No need to dress up as something I'm not, just to end up insulting someone who HAS been in some of those occupations. A coupla pairs of 5.11s is about the closest I could ever get to being "tactical."

Now, "strategic," on the other hand...let's just say the whole chess club feared my skills in school!
