Really perty, perty lights

Not so far as I can tell. The article seems pretty straightforward. Drug bust. In the process they found "illegal" handguns and a tactical shotgun. They also mention the handguns had "laser lights." (ie, laser sights) No mention is made of the lights themselves being illegal. I'm not sure why the handguns themselves would be illegal - I didn't think Columbia SC had those kinds of laws.

Laser sights? There's nothing illegal about them, and they don't constitute any kind of dramatic increase in the accuracy or lethalist of a weapon.

Then again, neither does a bayonet mount, flash hider, or collapsing stock . . .

THey're probably 'illegal' because the guy already has a rap sheet of convictions longer than his driveway. Hey, this story has to be a farce because we all know that criminals can't get guns... it's ILLEGAL!:banghead:

They're illegal in Germany but legal here in the US - even in CA.

I'm surprised it was an "assault tactical shotgun" and an "alser sighted assault pistol". The reported probably couldn't spell "assault" and couldn't find his copy of the "Brady Book of Demonizing Gun-Words" on his desk. (His editor had probably borrowed it.) :banghead:
