I found out how to get a really, really shiny finish on brass.

Put it in the tumbler for a couple of hours on Wednesday, forget about it until Sunday. :banghead:

Hahahaha.

I am guilty on more than one occasion. My wife will say "what is that noise in the garage?" as I climb into bed.

Been there, done that! Not for 5 days, but on several occasions for two. Funny thing, they don't shoot any better though.

Been looking for a timer. Are you talking about a kitchen timer to remind or something plugged into the tumbler? The only thing I have found are those timers made to turn on and off at certain times of day.

Ya Christmas light timer. 5$ at Home Depot. I set mine for 3 hours. Then at least if I forget for 4 days it's only going to tumble 12 hours haha.

What I'd love is a cheap timer that is not related to a 24 hr clock, rather just push a button to "go" and when to shuts off stays off, but I don't know of an inexpensive version of this.

My daughter tells me that there is something broken in the out building. I think it is the compressor kicking on. A few days later the same thing, then I start thinking, why is that compressor running so much. It wasn't. Clean but dusty brass.
I would have found it sooner or later, maybe.
