The Target version has this little blade you can adjust side to side for windage.

I guess i didnt have the screws tight enough and when i shot it friday the recoil must of backed the little lock screws out and the blad fell off between the range and my bench some where.

So i just cut up a 30-6 shell and slobbed in a brass one.

Frame is brass so i figured it wouldnt look that bad using spent shell.

Thanks

Its dirty on the other side from the powder lol. You seldom look at that side though. Only the bad guys will see the dirty side

I think if i had a Marlin 336 ide have it done by a shop.

This is my beater gun so im not really worried if i mess it up.

The Marlin 336 is like a $500. rifle isnt it?

Get some Birchwood Casey " Brass Black " and you can make it Black for a better sight picture, and Hide the soot on the other side.
Can you make a Steel one out of an old Hack saw Blade ?
It is a lot harder and will last longer.
Hack saw blades are also good for making some flat springs if you can temper them correctly.
