rebarelling springfield 1903

hello , i have two sportorised springfield rifle in 30-06 . both shoots very good . i would like to rebarell one of the rifle to 375 h&h magnum is it possible or should i go to 375 ruger . other option is re chambering it to 300 magnum .
i really apreciate the help .

i prefer 375 ruger . the only thing is, is the action strong enough . i have 5 rifles in 30-06 . i like the old classic rifles . both my springfield rifles shoot excellent groups

I think a nickel steel 1903 would hold the pressure of a .375 Ruger, but it would be a large gunsmithing job to make the change. Large and expensive.

There are rifles that after they get threaded and chambered in the lathe, they still need extractor relief cuts on the mill, and that makes them a big pain to rebarrel, like the Springfield 1903, Sav 99, Mosin Nagant, and 1885 Win.

Then there are rifles that the barrel is cylindrically symmetrical, except the threads, like the 98 Mauser, Sav 110, and Rem 700. All the work is done in the lathe.

There are cartridges that fit. The 30-06 is .47" in diameter and 3.34" in length.
The 375 Ruger is .532" in diameter and 3.34" in length.
To get the bigger cartridge to feed, the feed lips must be milled out.
