Rebore & barrel reline

I was wondering, would it be to expensive to have a 44 special revolver converted to 45 acp with moon clips or45 LC.

I was thinking about converting something like a Charter Bulldog. I just don't know if it would cost more to have the cyliner rebored and the barre relined.

What do you fellas think a job like this would run.

I think the Charter Bulldog would not be up to the task.

If rebored to .45 ACP, there would be almost no cylinder wall left.

Not to mention, the .45 ACP runs 5,000 - 8,000 PSI higher pressures then .44 Spl. in factory loads.

arent charter bulldogs made with aluminum frames?
dosent seem like that would hold up to a .45acp. not a bad idea though...

I think if you safely could, Charter already would.
I'm sure it would sell even better then the .44 Spl. version.
