SOG really delivers, I can tell you that for certain!
A few days ago I posted a question on which 9x18 I should purchase, a Polish P64 or a Czech CZ-82. The consensus agreed with the direction that I was leaning in, so I bought the C&R eligible CZ-82 for $199 from SOG. I received the beauty this morning and wow….

I wanted a 9x18 to replace the Russian IJ-70 commercial Makarov that was stolen a little over a year ago and this more than fits the bill. In fact, I like this pistol substantially more than I ever liked the Makarov.
It fits my paw perfectly and the controls are all in the right places. The safety is down to fire, up for safe… the way it should be! The slide and magazine releases are all within reach.

The 3-dot sights are much larger and rear-drift adjustable. They are impressively quite usable and probably couldn't be improved much unless replaced with low-profile Novaks.

Though there's a little take-up in the single action, it's smooth and light. The double action is butter smooth as well and the wide trigger really feels geared towards comfort.
The finish isn't perfect, but easily "Very Good" as SOG described. It appears to be more of a paint than a blue, with a small 1/4" patch flaked off the mainspring housing, but overall it's in great shape. The construction of the pistol appears excellent and easily more refined than my old IJ-70.
This pistol is easily a notch above, IMO.

I took it to the range this afternoon and found this puppy to be accurate and smooth! I experienced no hang-ups after 250 rounds of 115gr SilverBear JHPs and “out-of-the-box” it seemed every bit as comfortable to shoot as I remember my Makarov being that was upgraded with Hogue Handall Jr slip-on grips and 19lb Wolff recoil spring. Accuracy was nearly identical to that of my old Mak: tight and POA, inherent of the fixed barrel design, I'm guessing. It does seem to have an edge in "consistent" accuracy over my lost IJ-70 however; I was consistently printing tight groups at 15 yards that are on par with my Kahr K9. My IJ-70 was accurate, but I don't feel I used to shoot it as well. Primarily user error, I'm sure.

This is likely my favorite C&R purchase and I can’t brag enough about the unbelievable value the CZ-82 represents! If I were to rate my satisfaction concerning this purchase on a scale of 1-10, 10 it would be.
Today is a very happy day for me!

Typical 15 yard groups with the CZ-82, impressively tight for a lousy pistol-shot like me

Groups I used to get with the lost but now replaced Mak...

I'm happy you got a nice gun from SOG (mine was a POS), but I was impressed with the gun the little bit I was able to shoot it. Accurate little devils aren't they?

Really a nice gun. Accurate too. I also got mine from SOG. I found that the ammunition is not as available, or is there much choices at the local gun shops. That is a shame. I really rather buy fromt the local guy than mail order. But one merchant was completely out!!!!!!
