Just a note on the WASR dependability. When I used to attend many plateshoots and machinegun shoots, I had a WASR10 that I bought as a loaner gun. It was an incredibly ugly gun, with what looked like purple paint for a wood finish. I paid $225 OTD for it at the time. My friends would bring their adolescent kids with them to the shoots, stop by the ammo trailer, buy a case of ammo, and shoot the whole case through it in a couple hours. (Bump firing was the fad at this time) This went on for many shoots and many cases of ammo for several years. I still have that gun, and it still shoots well. I did have to replace the upper handguard a couple of times as the wood ones would burn up. A more expensive, and better looking rifle can be had, but the WASR10 worked as well as anything else I have seen. If the OP was looking for a dependable, working, reliable bullet launcher, from my experience he will be served well with his purchase. Prices are high right now and who knows what the future will bring, but he owns a rifle to enjoy.
