Recipe for 40 sw

Anybody have a recipe for a .40 sw using win 231 and 180 gr hollow points? Im trying to use up the 231....

I've been using 4.4 grains of 231 and 180 grain lead bullets. Very comfortable to shoot which is what I wanted as I find full power 40 snappy, but then I'm an old fart and don't enjoy recoil as I did 30 years ago. For jacketed bullets I'd go up a few tenths.

You did not list the weapon the load will be used in. Data from Winchester list starting load at 4.0 gr @ 790fps and max of 5.0 gr @ 950fps.

The WW 14th Edition reloading manual list the following data for 170 gr. JHP and W-231:
4.5 gr. W-231 = 860 fps = 24000 psi
5.3 gr. W-231 = 1000 fps = 33200 psi
