Saw a flyer at the local gun range today for a coating service and it occurred to me... When you send a gun off to get recoated (like duracote or similar), do they completely disassemble the gun? Like every spring and screw in a revolver or 1911?
And how exactly do they keep the coating from fouling the inside of a barrel (on a long gun, for instance)?
Just curious...
