In a straight blowback pistol like a walther ppk, what is the difference in recoil gonna be between these two rounds. I know they arent magnum loads, but with the particular operation of the pistol and the fact that its a mouse gun, will there be a big noticable difference?

As is plainly obvious I don't have any experience with either of these calibers and cant find any in my area to shoot.

Note: I'm not recoil sensitive by any means, however with what I'm using the particular pistol for, I prefer something that will make freehand rapid follow up shots easier.

Depends...

The amount of recoil you "feel" depends on the particular gun you're shooting. If you compare the two calibers in the exact same gun, (CZ83 for example) then the recoil will be noticably lower for the .32. A .32 in a small mousegun can feel like a .380 in a larger gun, for example a .32 Seecamp has a bit of recoil...feels like my Beretta 84 .380, which is more than twice as big as the Seecamp. The .32 in a larger frame is very tame. My CZ83 .32 feels like a .22. So it depends...on size, but the .380 is definitely a more powerful round,

Still depends...

Depends... a .380 Seecamp or Guardian is a handfull. Some, folks can't handle the recoil, especially the "trigger finger slam "

Blowback .380s have a lot of felt recoil.
My Kahr E9 9mm P is softer to shoot than most.
My Colt Gov't .380 recoil operated is a pussycat.
My Colt Pocket Model .32 blowback is soft to shoot, as is my 9 oz Keltec .32. A friend's Keltec .380 is kind of a kicker but not as bad as a NAA.

How much do you plan to shoot a pocket pistol at once, though?

For carry guns, regardless of size I do at least 100 rounds per outing. I'm not really asking this from the point of having it bother me as I shoot maks and cz-83's all day no problem. I'm just looking for a mouse gun that will really easy for follow up shots. If there isnt a big difference as far as muzzle flip/recoil then the .380 is a better choice fo me. If there is a big difference then I'd rather have the extra control and extra round since neither of these are giant stoppers.

I'd go out and shoot one, but I cant find one for rent.
