Recommend a 9mm for me

I am wanting another 9mm. Preferably in a compact size or smaller. Been actually thinking about getting a HI-Power or a clone of some sort, but the Detective by FM has caught my eye in particular because of the smaller size. Just don't know where to get one...

The Springfield EMP looks like it might be good, but it is a bit more than I am looking to spend...

I already own a few Glocks, love 'em. Looking for something different though. Not interested in Kahr (already been that route).

Thinking about spending around $500 or so.

Any thoughts? Pics welcome.
 
Take a look at the Springfield XD9SC (i.e., the 9mm sub-compact). It is an excellent pistol for around $450 - $500. It's accurate, reliable and easy to handle. With the extended length magazine it is as comfortable to shoot as my Glock 17 and a good bit easier to conceal if that's also a requirement.
 
The CZ P-01

is getting rave reviews.I prefer the PCR version of this pistol becuase it lacks that ugly " SWAT wannabe' " tactical rail under the barrel.
I've been told not to trust that new Taurus Slim Line 705 pistol.
It's a hit or miss with Taurus products.
