You need a new laptop battery Taliv.

ha! actually, my laptop battery died about a month ago and i still haven't replaced it. so yeah, i'm chained to the wall and have to reboot every time i unplug.

I've been reading American Handgunner since forever. My other subscription is Handloader. Quality writing on relevant (to me at least) topics.

You may be looking for gun tests magazine.
http://www.gun-tests.com/

It is like consumer reports, no outside advertising to color reviews.
BUT LESS LIBERAL!!!
Gun Tests. Don't waste your money on any others. With THR.US/ORG, AR15.com , Firearmstactical.com etc. you don't need the gun rags. The Shotgun news will make you aware of accessories and prices that you might not otherwise even know about. Gun Tests isn't perfect but is actually informative.

I've been reading Guns and American Handgunner for a while now. And American Rifleman. I would like more objective reviews. Plus more reviews of older guns (Guns Magazine has the Surplus weapons section!) just for fun.

I've dropped all the subscriptions that don't come with a membership. American Rifleman is OK. Muzzle Blasts is OK. The USA Shooting mag has one or two excellent columns per issue.

Shooting Sports USA occasionally had a good article, but the NRA went digital with it.

The best magazine? Probably Visier - but it's in German. Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

Might have been Misunderstood.

Hey :
By saying "Rifle" I was not referring to The American Rifleman.

Just Plain {Rifle}.
While I get and read The American Rifleman an dhave for over 20 years, it is a good one.
I get the Rilfe and handloader from Wolfe because the writers are also hunters and shooters. Their age may make the difference.

Mike Venturino handles the BP section and does a pretty good job. mostly BP cartrige guns.
Handloader always has real info and not just trying to sell you on something.

I stopped the G&A thing many years ago. I knew more than their writers did. :banghead:

It only comes out once a year, but I like The Complete Book of Handguns with all articles written by Massad Ayoob. It is put out by Harris Publications, who also publish Combat Handguns, Guns & Weapons for Law Enforcement, etc.

SWAT
Shooting Times
Shotgun News

Occasionally G&A, Guns, Small Arms Review, or another if they have an article that interests me, or have a special/annual issue devoted to a topic of interest.
