Recommend bino/monoculars to see holes on paper

Can anyone recommend a bino/monoculars for me to see the holes I punch on paper? 50 yards to maybe 300 yards or more? I'm tired of walking to the target.

Is a rifle scope overkill?
 
Depending on the holes and the target, as well as distance, a rifle scope may not do it. I would suggest getting an inexpensive spotting scope (BSA) and see how I liked it. A spotting scope is a very usefull tool to have.
 
Ok thanks. What kind of magnification should I be aiming for at those ranges? Holes are .223 to .30.
