Santa brought a couple of new holsters and being impatient I have read in the past about some stuff that can be applied to the inside of a holster to make it slicker. Anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks. Mike
A big a$$ can of Kiwi spray silicone. Saturate the inside and place the gun in it until it dries to mash down the leather and take on the general shape of the gun's surfaces. After it dries you will need to do a lot of practice draws and reholstering to slicken up the surface. Keep applying the silicone until the holster is mostly broken in. Use of the holster afterwards will do the rest.
Our department uses Safariland SSIIIs. Wonderful holster, but a pain to break in.
BTW the silicone treatment is Safariland's recommendation......seems to work.
