This was posted by Oleg Volk on a prior post...;)
Finally found a decent gun store in Nashville. Others either have no inventory, or have very high prices, or have rude salespeople. This one got all three essentials: decent selection, low prices, helpful people. Worth a little extra driving. Their pick of guns is very close to what I'd pick, mostly classic designs.

Guns & Leather in Greenbrier (zip 3703), just off I65 a little north of Nashville. They have an in-store holstermaker of considerable talent (holster run $60, more for exotic materials...wait time is about three months though).

I am including their phone number because they had somethin gof interest to the Carcano owners: three boxes, each with three clips with 7.35mm cartridges headstamped 1939 (also usable with 6.5mm Carcanos). They ask $15 per box, which compares reasonably with gunparts.com asking $6 per empty aftermarket clip. 615-643-4865

I just bought a pistol online from Bud's Gun Shop. Haven't got it yet and never met them in person, but they were very helpful and nice on the phone...

Are you looking for places to "buy" guns, or just places to "see" guns?

If it's places to see guns, I might recommend Oleg and Runt's. :D

Or drive an extra 2.5 hours and visit Tamara's collection...

franklin gun (south suburb..franklin) is one of the nicest stores i have done business with. family owned, friendly, clean and they have one of the better local inventories. will negotiate and prices are decent but not rock bottom.

specialty arms II (southeast burb smyrna) also has a good inventory but is a bit hard to find. it is always very smokey inside which keeps me from going there anymore ...it is also pretty dingy... sales help widely varies in quality but there are some good folks there. they set up a lot at local shows...they will often honor their lower show prices at the store.

gun mart (west nashville) is small but decent staff. the former manager got arrested by the feds a few years back and the new people running it have really improved the place. prices seem high on pistols...some other stuff better

gun city (central nashville)...bad part of town...place is a dump. it has a pretty decent local following due to the fact it has a range and you can often shoot the gun before you buy. selection quite limited on last visit...have not visited for a while

useltons (north suburb ...goodletsville). expensive...sells alot of knives and archery stuff as well. inventory a lot smaller last time i went (also reducing size of store which was huge). they are private labeling their own line of .45s now...they are in the gun mags. they also have a nice (but expensive) range.

sporting arms (west nashville). small store..new guy running it...bought ammo/accessories only. they are right across the street from the super walmart. have always gotten good advice.

game fair (west nashville/ belle meade)....

very expensive shotgun/orvis shop with a lot of very expensive english double guns, perazzis, and a lot of old guns. if you are close by it is worth looking at.

if you want a really expensive car to put your new gun in there is one of those high end import used car lots right next to it...btw some of the guns cost more than the cars!!!!

probably the two best places i know of in TN are mahoneys in the east and guns and ammo in memphis

Also...

Reloader's Bench in Mount Juliet and Academy of Self Protection in Joelton (same owners).

A little better prices than Franklin but nearly not as much variety and quantity in inventory.
