A Dillon CV 2001. It's a big bugger. I use a litter scoop to remove the brass from the bowl and put it in a plastic culliner to shake the final media back into the unit.
I'm using a RCBS and it's been a good one. That said, if I was to replace it I'd either get the big Dillon CV-2001 or the new (smaller) CV-750 replacing, their previous 500 model. The latter has a serious duty, sealed, DC motor...the same one that's in the CV-2001.
Have both the Dillon Cv2001 and a RCBS Side Winder tumbler.....Side Winder is worthless, maybe I should turn it into a rock polisher. Dillon is a nice piece of equipment.
My Hornady works very well. Stay as far away as you can from the Franklin Arsenal...had 2 and both died, one after a month and the other a little over a year.
I just have a one bowl system. You can get the twin if you think you need two bowl, or the autoflow if you don't want to steal one of your wife's colanders.
The basic guts of the vibrator are the same, it's just different bowls and lids. Buy what looks good to you.
I've had my Thumbler Tumbler since the mid 70's and so far so good. I'm sure it's out dated, but it has lasted and does the job. I was thumbing through Cabela's sale flier and saw one just like the one I have. When I saw the price, I headed to the bathroom for some TP for a clear up job. They're about $100.00 more now. I guess that's like comparing $4.00 gasoline to the price of gas when I got out to high school. Lots of difference, 21.9 a gallon!
I've been very happy with my Lyman 1200. I bought the kit that comes with both small and large bowls which I find very convenient. I'm able to clean very small batches or large depending.
I run my in the garage on the concrete floor and the noise is not an issue for me one bit.
I use a Lyman Turbo Pro 1200, I think it's called. Got it on sale at Sportsman's Warehouse for $39.95 or so. So far, it works great! I can load it completely full and it still goes like hell. I fill it halfway with brass, then top it off with media, and it doesn't even slow it down. I really think the shape of the bowl bottom has a lot to do with it, the cyclonic action of it is really impressive. Guess that's where the "turbo" name comes from.
