Does anyone have any experience with the recoil reducing tubes that you can fit inside a buttstock? Do they really work as advertised? What would be better, the spring/piston or Mercury version? Thanks.

The search feature is your friend. This is a popular subject....

Adding weight to the shotgun will do the same thing. So will going with lighter loads. Good fit and form help also.

In my experience with them, they do quite well in the butt stock. If weight becomes an issue, being too 'back-heavy', get some golfer's lead tape and put it in the fore end to even out the balance.

depends on what type of gun its going on or in shot guns there are many ways to reduce recoil and yes mercury is the best, theres; barrel weights stock reduces different recoil pads etc look on line at GRACO, email me if you have any more ques? id be glad to help you especiallly if its shotguns
