Hey gang, I have an M1S90 and apparently I need an M1 field stock if I want to utilize the factory mercury 11oz. recoil reducer. So, does anyone know if I can get the reducer to fit my current stock (one with the sling attachment) with a little modification? Or, could I fit the reducer in my mag extension in front of the spring? Thanks for your insight.

hey i just got one too

i just got one too, how are you liking yours? can't wait to shoot it this weekend at the good ol outdoor range

is there not enough room in the standard m1s90 stock for the mercury reducer?
hm

From my experience with my Nova it has to be a stock that will accept the reducer. The reducer is in a housing that you thread into the stock with two long phillips screws. I actually needed to buy a longer screwdriver to get the lower screw in. I am not familiar with the stocks in question but if they weren't meant to have it it more than likely won't work as designed.

You can buy a mercury reducer which will bolt onto the end of your magazine tube cap. I added one to my wife's Browning Gold to help settle the gun when shooting doubles on sporting clays courses. I'm not recoil sensitive and would never add one to my Benelli M1. Why screw up the light weight and fast handling?
