Refinishing 39A Marlin?

Here it is finished. Close to what I wanted. Not too shiny nor too dull and overall darker. Looks close to the original finish and being an early 50s rifle it predates Mar-Shield. Shoots as good as ever. Course, without a scope I cannot hit a darn thing, no fault of the Skinners. I often had this rifle with a scope more than not.
