Bass Pro currently has a sale on factory refurb Sig P226 40 caliber pistols. I went there this morning to look. The only way to test the trigger there is for the clerk to take you to the indoor range and take the trigger lock off there. Since this was such a big production, I wanted to take several to test since they were used guns. It turned out that the store only had two, seems kinda short stocked for a big sale.
We took them up to the range and I picked the one with the best single action trigger, both were in excellent shape.
I took it to the range with a large amount of ammo and shot it along with my compact M&P that I had just gotten back from Smith and Wesson. It shot like a Sig, accurate and reliable. One of the 2 magazines appeared to be unused. It seemed to be very soft shooting for a .40 compared to my other ones. Other people at the range also commented on the seeming lack of recoil. I got my 200 rounds through it and I am satisfied.
