Reliability and durability of a Walther SP22 M3 (not a P22)?

Does anyone here have any experience with the feeding and "go-bang" reliability/durability of the Walther SP22 M3 (not the P22)?

I would like to use one in what amounts to rimfire Steel Challenge so it had to feed and fire. I like the feel of them and the long sight radius and the trigger of the M3 but I don't know anything about their reliability and durability.

I am sure they are plenty accurate -- just not sure if they are reliable and durable enough. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've never heard anything particularly good about them. Like the P22, they are made by Umarex, not Walther.

Depending on how you look at it, Umarex IS Walther or vice versa...

Umarex owns a large stake in Walther, but the Umarex factory in Arnsberg, Germany (near Cologne) is a distinct operation from the Walther factory in Ulm, Germany.

I have shot the sp22 m3. Compared to my Buckmark and the Ruger 22/45 it was like cheating. It shot extremely well and had no misfires. The sig 1911 in .22 was the most inaccurate and picky with ammo that day.
With maintenance I think that gun would be competitive for a long time.

Just my 2 cents worth. I am actually jealous of the owner because he got it for such a great price

Perfect, thanks. I was really looking for input from someone who has actually shot the gun and can compare it to others.
