Reliable Gunsmith in New Orleans Area

Does anyone know of a reliable gunsmith in the New Orleans Area?
Namely for a 1911 and a smith & wesson revolver.

I shoot at Jefferson Indoor in Harahan, LA and the owner told me he is a gunsmith. Anyone got any info on him?

I shoot out there pretty often, when I'm not shooting at Honey Island Swamp. "Louie" has done a good amount of work for me over the years on my 1911's and S&W revolvers, (among other things). In fact, he's the only smith I use anymore. If it's something that's better left to the manufacturer, he'll tell you that, and not risk monkey-ing it up.

He won't win any personality contests, sort of gruff and long in the tooth, but he's a great smith.

He's done a lot of work for my friends too.

I'd recommend him anytime!

Update

As an update for all in the Harahan area -

Louis died a few weeks ago of a heart attack.
The FFL was in his name and his son and wife are trying to get things back in order.

If anyone has more information, please share it here.

PS - I am now looking (again) for a local smith for my 1911.
