Hi! Been a while since I was on the forum last. I am building myself an AR (while I still can...). Parts have gotten scarce and often expensive (lots of people of a like mind to myself - "get it while you still can" :fire:). Right now I am concentrating on getting the hardest-to-find stuff first (receiver parts, barrel, magazines, etc.)

I have been looking around, and I am finding that a LOT of places are sold out of .223 or 5.56mm ammo (my barrel is chambered for 5.56, so I don't have to worry about excessive chamber pressures). Other than hand-loading (I don't have the dies, and components are scarce as well), is there any sort of reasonably reliable source of ammo for my gun - one that is not constantly "sold out"?

It is starting to come back, but we are months out from reliable unless you want to pay twice or more than what you should.
