Hi everyone, Does anyone know where I can get a S&W Presentation box repaired and relined? Thanks in advance, Bob

I asked that same question on the S&W forum and was referred to this guy at yet another S&W forum.

His name is Kurt and his handle is "Hammerdown". I haven't contacted him yet but plan to soon. I am told he does a good job on the liners.

Hammerdown is a member of this forum, and sometimes post threads here. I think he can be reached through our P.M. system.

I'd be interested to know the cost and quality.

I have a couple of early 1980s vintage boxes that badly need relining.

It's hard to find one today that doesn't and if you do they cost a fortune.

It isn't hard, get all the old flocking off and replace it. A good hobby shop should have flocking material, if not the local high school wood shop teacher will probably know where to buy it (think jewelry box projects etc). The old flocking usually comes off very easily with light scraping. Spray or paint adhesive on the plastic and then your choice of flocking color liberally heaped on and spread around. Let it dry and then shake the excess flocking back into the container.

PS, you can practice on any bubble package, egg containers, or even the back of the presentation box insert.
