Is Reloader 15 just a pain to meter? My first 'group' of powders for rifle were CFE223, H335, (and a bunch of pistol loads). The actual loads when measured seem to bounce around quite a bit with RE15, is that normal? I've about several powders that "meter like crap", now I think I'm finding out for myself. Any tips?

Works well enough for me. 0.1grs, occasionally 0.2grs out with my measure.

Try giving a rap on the side of the powdermeasure or doing a double tap at the top of the stroke. Operating the powdermeasure consistently has a direct impact on the variability of your drops.

Also, "metering" and charge weight variations are HIGHLY overrated. Unless you've settled for a mean and persnickety load, that stuff makes at most, a subtle difference at 300yds and less.

FLIGHT--did you misplace a decimal?

When used in auto mode on my LNL, my BR-30 measure drops most of the charges at +/- one tenth, but every so often it will drop a charge two or even three tenths off. It can do better when thrown by hand with that measure. If you use it for long distance, you will want to weigh charges.

I have found that a baffle in the "dropper" really is worth the money. (About $15 at Amazon) My Chargemaster drops RL-15 to plus or minus a tenth of a grain w/o any problem.

I don't load rifle on a progressive press. That said my example of the Redding BR30 measure is consistent within +/- a tenth when employed with R15. The BR 30 is bench mounted with the bracket included with the measure from Redding. A consistent manipulation of the throw helps.

A measure I've found to be some what more constant is the Belding & Mull with the fixed hopper, sliding reservoir, and drop tube measure. Belding & Mull is ceased being in business a long-long time ago.

Rel15 is a very accurate powder for .308 and .223 (heavy) rounds. Weigh each charge, it's worth it.

My first attempts to load with it using 60gr soft point pills was rewarding, quite happy with the first loads. I just bought some 70gr HPBT I'm going to do some testing with, want to get it right.

I load 69g SMK for my 1 in 9" savage with it. I have had excellent results with it out to 500 yards. Varget was close but not as consistent in my rifle.
