About to start loading 35 remington are there any issues to watch for with this cartridge? I use a lee pro 1000.

It's pretty straight forward. About like any other bottle necked caliber. I haven't run into any problems.

Trail Boss and bullets intended for the .38 or .357 make fun light recoil plinkers.

If it's for a lever action FL resizing every time is required and you might want a bit of crimp. Otherwise most cartridges are pretty much the same as the next. Operative word being 'most'.

I'm loading them for marlin 336 does the COAL affect accuracy the same as other rifles? I've found some conflicting information about it online.

It's not a a target round. I have been happy with good hunting bullets grouping into an 1" to 1 1/2" at 100 yards for three shots. It's not unusual for two to touch. I seat to the cannelure and lightly roll crimp into it. That will drop a deer all day long.

I full length size, just be careful not to push the shoulder way back.

What will the purpose of the reloads be?

They will be hunting loads. I'm using Hornady brass and Hornady 200gn bullits with the plastic tip. They are for my brother he wants a little more long range accuracy and it's getting harder to find 35 ammo.

My 336 is noticeably more accurate with the Hornady Leverevolution factory ammo than the Remington CoreLokt. Assuming the same is true for your brother's rifle, I would try to replicate the factory loads. You can buy Leverevolution powder and you already have the appropriate bullets. By reputation, Leverevolution powder performs best with compressed loads. I would start with this powder at the recommended minimum and work your way up until you have the best accuracy. If we are talking about deer as a target, any load you put together that is the most accurate will put deer on the ground handily, so there is no point in pushing for an extra 50 or 100 FPS if it means giving up accuracy.

Deer and hogs mostly. I thought about using hodgdon cfe 223 just because I have been using cfe pistol and like it. Has anyone used it much?

Finally got this 35 load worked out. COAL 2.535 39.8gn hodgdon leverevolution 200gn ftx. Best group at 50 yards. 20161022_134839.jpg
