I am in the process of shopping around for a small 9mm and I will be shooting the Sig P290. On paper the P290 definitely looks like something I would like.
Does anyone here reload for this gun?
Right now I shoot 9mm out of my M&P 9. Basically my only recipe so far is for 115grain FMJ bullets that I load to approx 1.155 which runs great in my gun. However I plan on moving over to 147 grain bullets. For defense I will be loading 147 XTPs that came the other day and for the range I will be loading 147 grain lead. I have read that heavy bullets will actually have a lighter/different/better perceived recoil. This interests me for range/competition obviously and for defense as well.
Ever loaded 147 grain for the P290? What is the chamber like? I like to load long as you can see by my 115 FMJ recipe.
Thank you for the help!
