Reloading for SR9C

Anyone have a load for 124g 9mm JHP (like XTP) that will do 1200 fps out of an SR9C? The barrel is only a little over 3".
How much does that reduce the velocity below what the books say for a standard 4" barrel?
Would a faster burning powder get the velocity up faster to accomodate for the shorter barrel?

No.
Whatever powder gives the highest velocity in a long barrel will do the same in a short barrel.

With a 124 XTP, that might be Power Pistol, HS-6, AA-7, Unique, Auto-Comp, or something along those lines.

I doubt you will see a true 1,200 out of a 3" barrel with any load though.

Great gun but I have to ask why such high velocity? You don't have a 357mag, its just a 9mm. No need to beat it to death.

And slower powders usually have higher velocities than faster ones.

My SR9c prefers stiffer loads. My lighter loads with cast run in all my others, but not the SR9c.
