Reloading over carpet

X-men...If you want to get rid of the static charge in your body on dry days. Just touch the little screw that attaches the plastic plate on your light switch. Yeow!! Wha-la... No more static charge.

That being said, I would suggest examining your reloading process. Sounds like you spill more than the average reloader does. I honestly don't think I leave a single flake on the bench after a reloading session. Where in the process do you think the tiny spills are coming from?

First time reloading ever, so I was fumbling a bit with the powder measure. Also, one time I bumped the pan while pouring powder back into the measure. If I just put powder in the measure and threw, I wouldn't have made nearly the small mess I made. I think next time will go better. Also, if I swabbed out the measure and pan with a dryer sheet BEFORE putting powder anywhere near it would have helped.

Before I moved my set-up to the garage, I vacuumed the carpet (I now vacuum the garage floor). As stated, if it isn't a keg worth, should not be a problem - b ut if you're concerned, get one of those office rigid chair mats and put it under your area, them you can sweep it up.
