Reloading the 30-06

Shooting a Remington 700 30-06 for whitetail deer. Using Hornady SST 165 gr. Anyone have any favorite loads to share? Anyone tried Reloader 22?

22 is way too slow IIRC.
anything under 165gr something like 4895 is better.

Rel-22 will work if you have the barrel length, but Rel-19, IMR/H4350 are a better fit for the '06.
As Marlin 45 carbine mentions IMR/H4895 will work on the lighter bullets and has always been a favorite, especially in the M1 Garand.

I have had good luck with IMR 4350, H4350sc, H414, and IMR 4895 all using a 165 grn bullet.

For several years I have been loading 46 grains of BL-C behind a 180 grain Remington Core-Lokt with excellent results on these PA whitetails.
Sadly, the round nose version of this bullet is no longer available to reloaders .
