Sierra Gameking

In my experience, 4064 is pretty temperature sensitive. I live in N Alabama and we see temps of 100 in the summer to a few mid teen days in the winter. My 308 load is a 165 SP Gameking on top of 45grains of IMR 4064 using Hornady brass and standard LR CCI primers. If I am zeroed at 100 yards in the middle of summer, I find the groups drop exactly 2" when the weather gets below 45 degrees. It's really not that big of a deal, but I still want a powder that will shoot the same year-round. 4064 Does't measure to well through my powder dispenser either.

58 grains of H4831SC under a 165 gr. Gameking=2690 fps
59 grains of H4831SC under a 165 gr. Gameking=2710 fps

Firearm...Browning .30-06 A-bolt with 22" barrel.
A very accurate load.

I you're happy with 4064 other than the change in POI in colder weather you will really like H4895. It's very similar to 4064 in burn rate, it's an accurate powder and it's temperature insensitive.

I like H4350 in the 30-06 but it's much slower a powder than IMR4064. I'm thinking H4895 is the powder you're looking for.
