I found a nice Remington 1100 for sale with 28'' modified choke. It says it's barely used and very clean. What would it be worth?

I had my Son who lives in that town go look at it. He said the butt stock? is cracked in 2 places and the forearm is missing some of the finish.

I've seen better deals. Found an 11/87 (not the same, exactly) for 350 I would have bought had it not been for budget concerns at the time. I still look around for deals at pawn shops now and then, not for anything particular, but something I feel is a bargain and like even if I don't need it. Heck, the hunt's half the fun.

I'd take Virginian's advice on this one.

Yea I dont need either. Heck I havent shot the new semi auto I bought a couple of months ago. I just thought if it was excellent, I'd buy it.

I paid $350 for one with an IC VR 12 gauge with good wood condition a few years ago. There was light pitting in a couple of spots on the receiver, but the gun was in overall good shape. 5,000 rounds later, it still shoots fine. It looks as if it still has the original rubber O-ring in it. I bought a 5-pack replacements and keep one in the gun case, but this one still works perfectly cycling my 3/4 oz skeet loads.

Even after a couple of 150 shot days, my shoulder doesn't get fatigued like it does after 10 shots through the Mosin Nagant.

Well what do ya know? I passed on that one and now there is another one listed! This one is very nice and is 2 3/4 and 3". Plain barrel though but the gun is slick with no cracks or bad finish. hmmm

Yes, they made both a standard frame and a lightweight 20 gauge in 3" Magnum. Both of them do not like light loads at all in my experience. The 20s are more finicky than the 12s.

Make sure the receiver is marked magnum. They might have a magnum barrel that's marked for both, on a regular receiver, in which case you would NOT be able to shoot the 3".

Sounds like a winner if it is as stated. If it is a magnum barrel on a regular receiver, I might have a barrel trade in mind for you. Do you have pictures of it?
