This has probably been asked but my searching did not produce. Is the Remington 7615 chambered in such a way to accept or tolerate 5.56 as well as .223?

Well, a guy with one for sale on gunbroker posted this pic among others.

That's one of the ranch carbines: wood furniture, short barrel, no sights, and pretty darn tempting.

Just brought my 7615 Patrol Carbine home,....all the AR mags I have lock up,..seem to shuck them fine. Will put some eyes on it,..get it cleaned up and greased,..and get it to the range and shake it out soon as I can.

The barrel IS clearly stamped as 5.56 NATO or ,223 REM.....

Either one equally well. A great simple rifle. If you are familiar with an 870 this one falls to hand rather nicely.

I like them.. can't afford one...

I've inquired if they would make them in 7.62x39 and 5.45x39, there are plenty of AK magazines that would work for that setup... Remington said if the demand was there they would consider it.
