What do y'all think of this system as an urban precision rifle?

Supposedly this ACOG is calibrated for .308 Win 168gr out of a 20" barrel. So if one were to use 168gr Fed Match ammo that should work out good.

Would there be a problem with the ACOG's short eye relief and finding a mounting solution for the XCR? Also how about cheek weld?

Well, I'm not sure about either, but I have to use a Eagle Industries SSP on my stock with a baisic scope, so I don't know about the ACOG's. But your cheek weld may differ than mine. I have heard that the ACOG's have short eye relief though as you have already mentioned.

BTW, my scope has around 3" or eye relief and I do just fine.

Hope it works out for you!! :)

Well, Trijicon claims 1.5" as the eye relief for a 4x ACOG. With my TA31 on my AR I'm generally at about 2" and that seems to be right in the middle of the sweet spot. It still works ok from contact out past 3". The challenge with a bolt gun is, how are you going to mount it that far back?
