Hey guys,
I have a Remmy Mod 31 that im wanting to change it from the awesome bird gun it is to a killer home security gun. But i havnt been able to find anything for the stock or foregrip. Im going to take it to my buddies guns shop to cut the barrel down today.

The world's full of decent HD shotguns, many available for far less than you could get selling that fine old pumpgun to someone who appreciates it.

31s are not being made anymore. So, do the right thing and end up with a good HD shotgun like a Maverick, Express, etc and some money as well.....

AARRRRRRRGGGGGHHH!! Go get a Mossberg or something. Why destroy a classic American field gun? That would be equivalent to entering a Ferrari in a demolition derby.

Woohoo
Now I was under the impression they were still around. In that case i will hold onto the sexy beast and buy a 870 tac setup. As always thanks guys

Whew.......

A mistake averted.

They stopped making 31s in 1950 when the 870 was intro'd. All that fine machining and close tolerances was too expensive.

People have made a cult of the Model 12 Winchester, and indeed it's a fine shotgun. The 31 was just as good and maybe better.

I have seen registered 14" Model 31s with 11 1/2" stocks made to take down in a brief case. Pretty slick package! I have a few 31s, some collector pieces but one with a 21" barrel with a poly choke that I cut the stock to 12 1/2" with a Limbsaver. I really don't use it for HD but it is kept loaded with a Rio #12 first then four #4 Buckshot and I kill things that need killing on the ranchette.

Lol. Im going to keep the 31 as is. Its in collectors condition. It has a little bit of wear and thats all. I didnt even know they stopped production that early. Wow. Im going to get it checked out tomorrow. I will give heads up tomorrow when i find out a little bit more onn it.

Hello friends and neighbors // I'll trade you a Wingmaster, 1976, 20ga. and an Express ,12 ga 2003 for the old discontinued 31.

I might even throw in an 18 1/2" VR barrel (2 3/4"only) .

Seriously, glad you posted here first, the 31s are outstanding examples of an older era in firearms making.
