As some may know, I bought a brand new 870 Police from RemArms recently. Well, the sights were canted and the gun didn’t shoot straight with slugs even with the windage dialed all the way to the left on the rear sight.

I contacted RemArms and they sent a pre-paid label and off the gun went to them. Two and a half weeks later it arrived (yesterday). The note in the box said the barrel was replaced. What’s more, though, is that RemArms took the time to swap the night sights I installed on the shotgun before sending it back.

They did a fine job of installing my night sights on the new barrel. Also, I didn’t send back the forend as I had attached a Surefire light to it and I figured they would have a spare forend they could simply use if they needed it. Well the gun showed up with a brand new forend with action bars and police style handguard. Didn’t expect that, so now I’ve got two forend assemblies. Very cool.

Included in the return box was a factory target with three shots fired from slugs showing a centered group.

I shot the gun today with the sights dead center in their mountings at approx. 30 yards:

The sights on the new barrel are dead on for windage with no adjustment needed. Perfect.

Overall, I’m very happy with the new RemArms customer service. They went above and beyond and even swapped my aftermarket sights over to the new barrel with no questions asked. They seem like good folks, and answered my emails very promptly, often within the same business day.

2 thumbs up. I’ve got a great shotgun now. I should note the fit and finish of this gun is superb. I’d buy another.

That's great that is exactly what we need

Good news -and glad they stepped up. Sounds like a great start for that new company... No such thing as too many happy customers - hope it continues since the 870 is my first choice always...

Good to know, this should help them to get on board with customer service!!

I've got a chance to buy a new rem arms marine magnum right now for $500. I'm really tempted but I'm trying to justify owning a 3rd 870. It would be very easily justified if I wasn't in the process of moving this summer and building a house, but it could still happen. I'm usually quite frugal but have been known to be irresponsible with $$$ when it comes to gun stuff.... the rem arms stuff I've seen looks good. Nothing compared to the Remington of the 20th century, but perhaps it could turn out to be a cut above Remington of the 21st. Time will tell, or maybe the marine magnum :D
