My father and I got the dust off this old gun and fire a lot of rounds through about a week ago. He had some old ammo for it. I noticed once or twice when I fired the older ammo it seemed to not have enough pressure to fully complete the automatic discharge and reload cycle. (gas operated or semi-auto). No big deal, action was fully open, I just tilted the gun and out fell old shell and manual loaded next shell.

The last 2 older shells proved the be a little more than tempermental. The gun is now jammed.....like....really jammed. Their is not a live round in the chamber. I really can't even see HOW it is jammed. The manual action handle does NOT budge....in the least....action is fully stuck.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Ron

Try this.

Remove the barrel and fore end.
With a brass punch, push the two pins on the receiver out and remove the trigger. Then try to wiggle the bolt out. See if anything falls out like a small piece of metal. Could have broken the firing pin and it may be causing the bolt to be stuck.
For the shells not fully cycling the action, clean the heck out of the gas system. Might be either clogged or leaking, therefore not allowing all of the gasses to fully cycle the action.
I had the same thing happen with a Rem. 760 pump. Broken firing pin locked the bolt in place. Pain in the but.
