Remington 1100 G3

Any opinions of this gun from those that have owned or shot one? It seems like a nice gun, but Remington discontinued it after a couple of years. Why?

I would assume low demand is why they stopped it. It was a very nicely finished 1100 with 11-87 guts so it could shoot 2-3/4" and 3" loads. With the discontinuance of the G3, Remington no longer offers a walnut and blued steel 3" semi auto. If I was in the market for a new semi that is the one I would have gotten.
