I have an 1100 manufactured in '65 that survived a house fire. The damage is cosmetic (baked, blistered, varnish, lots of dings in the stock, small crack in fore end.) The rcvr and barrel needs refinished and I was thinking about having it refinished by this guy:http://www.blackicecoatings.com/Index.html

The problem I have is locating a synthetic stock set in shadow grass camo for a pre-86 1100. Can anyone tell me the difference between the pre-86 versus the post-86 stock sets?
This gun functions well, its just ugly as sin. Thanks for the help!

All 1100 stocks are interchangable within gauge and series (i.e.: 20 gauge lightweight). My '63 walnut stock fits just fine on my buddy's brand new G3. He didn't believe it.
Probably ought to replace the plastic parts (buffer, etc.).

Thanks!!! This gun is my next project, after Im through wacking dove with it!
