Hey all, yesterday I fell in love with a pristine Remington 141 (35 Rem) at the local shop and had to bring it home. For $250 what's not to love, right?
The internals and rifling look like it rolled off the line yesterday, but it was made in Feb 1938.
Since I don't own a 35 rem I picked up a box of Lever Revolution because I like it in my 45/70 and it was the least expensive they had. I figured I'd shoot that until I sourced something less expensive online.
I have read that the 141 action does not hold up well to some of the hotter 35 Rem loads, and also that the longer Hornady hangs a little in the 141 action. (have not shot mine yet to verify)
Anyone with experience care to share their thoughts? I can find out on my own how they feed, but I certainly don't want to buy more Hornady if they are too hot for the action, if that's the case I'll spend a little more and stock up on some core-loktd.
Thanks
