Remington 511 Problem

My 511 works great but it is having a problem feeding the bullets. Like the magazine doesnt lock in all the way so I have to push it up for the next bullet to go in otherwise the bolt doesnt grab it.

I am using a 10 round magazine instead of the usual 6.

Any suggestions?

Everything you mention points to a faulty magazine or magazine catch on the rifle with the later being more unlikely. I would try another after market magazine along these lines from Brownells. The only magazines I currently have and use are a few original 5 round magazines from Remington. Not home right now so I can't look at my rifle but my magazines fit tight and snug with a very firm lock up in the magazine well.

Could be a week mag spring just not holding the rounds up well. Or as all ready covered above. Must parts can be had at bobs guns parts. or nimurch

Its been a couple years but I bought some new mags in remington packageing .
