I been looking for a 22 for small game hunting and I love a pump gun. After much research (and saving money) I decided on buying a new Remington 572 bdl deluxe. Really love the look of this gun. Now I'm first to admit I'm no expert on guns just basic knowledge.

But this thing is misfiring about on average 2 to 4 times per 15 rounds. (shooting long rifle hollow points) Indentation on the shell casings just looks weak. I notice if i really don't pump it hard it will misfire about everytime.

Haven't taken it apart and cleaned it yet but didn't figure i needed to since its only had about 200 or 250 rounds through it. Anybody had the same problems?

O yea, and the open sights I cant get dead on either. Shoots high everytime. I have adjusted the sights all the way back to all the way forward. Gonna put a scope on it soon so I guess it don't really matter but It sure be nice to hit a dang pop can without aiming a foot low! I have heard guys mention something about the stock since it being monte carlo it screws up the iron sight I don't no. Anybody no what the deal is with the misfiring? Cause its gotta get fixed! Any knowledge will help!! Thanks

Hi. You need to clean any new rifle before shooting 'em. They come with a preservative coating that can cause your issue.
You need to try a box of as many brands of ammo as you can to find the ammo it shoots best too.
