Remington 66 question..

Today I picked up a very nice Remington 66 at a good price.

This one has an 'A' prefix serial number, high gloss black nylon, no white diamond and a blued finish.

I've never seen the black stock with a blued finish and even looking around the web they seem pretty rare. Is this the case?

Black Diamond is what it's called. Most 66's were blued. I would not call them rare, but the black diamond is probably the rarest next to the seneca green which I have never seen in person.
