Remington 700 Cocking Piece Won't Separate from the Firing Pin

I'm trying to replace the firing pin spring on my circa 1995 Remington 700 SA bolt. I knocked out the pin that secures the firing pin to the cocking piece. However, the cocking piece will not separate from the firing pin. It moves back and forth a few thousandths but it won't come off.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Nevermind, finally got it to separate.
