I am hoping someone here has a solution to my problem. My Remington 700 LV SF (light varmint stainless fluted) rifle's recoil pad's rubber started to deteriorate. It was the R3 recoil pad. So I went to the Remington store and ordered the newer Super Cell pad for the synthetic stock. Lo behold it will not fit! My rifle does have a synthetic stock but the end where the pad should mount looks more like the end of a wooden stock. I believe the stock that Remington used was a Bell and Carlson stock.
Maybe I should order the one for the wooden stock? Anyone have any ideas? I guess I could just call Remington but figured I give good ol' THR a try.
