Looking to pick up a new rifle and am looking at two Remingtons in the mix. I know the difference in the 5R models, but wasn't sure of the difference between the Sendero vs 700P models other than cosmetics (finish, length, etc). Is one a better quality than the other?

Thanks,
Hawk

I'm not sure about quality differences, but my 700 Sendero SF II in 300 Win Mag is unbelievable. The longest I've gotten a chance to shoot it is 200 yards. At that distance a bad group is 0.5 MOA. As Remington states on their website, the Sendero is the most accurate rifle that they make for over the counter sales.

Not that it matters but the Sendero costs about $150 more. The Stainless bull barrel is probably where the difference is.

If I was told correctly, the only difference in the 700P and the Sendero is the stock. The LTR's have 20" fluted barrels, but the barrels are all the same with the exception of their 5R and custom shop rifles.
